Qld: New life for old jail
The Queensland Government wants to turn Brisbane's old Boggo Road jail into a centre
for research, housing and industry.
Minister for Public Works and Housing ROBERT SCHWARTEN says urban planners are being
invited to register interest in developing a plan for the old jail at suburban Dutton
Park.
A mixture of housing, commercial, research and community facilities are being proposed
for the 9.5ha site.
