Fed: Olympians chose to appear topless - official
A former official says Australia's women's soccer Olympians volunteered to appear toplessin a television advertisement and were never duped into doing so.
Former vice president of the Australian women's soccer association MARIA BERRY saysplayers agreed to wear only flesh-coloured G-strings in a foreign ad to earn some much-neededmoney leading up to the Sydney Olympics.
She told ABC radio it was put to players that it was an opportunity for them to earnsome money and supplement the government funds that were available.
She says the advertisement was something that was very much voluntary for those playersthat wanted to participate.
